Well Architected Review
The Amazon Well Architected Framework is a set of best practices that helps architects optimise workloads for operational effectiveness, efficiency, stability and security on the cloud. As an AWS Well-Architected Partner, our MServ team can perform a Well-Architected Review according to this Framework on a workload already running in AWS, or on one you are planning on migrating to AWS.
As part of the AWS Africa Region launch, we are offering a free review for any workload that is signed up with MServ as a managed services and billing partner for the next year.
Africa Region Migration
The logistics of region migrations are not necessarily trivial, they may require downtime for data synchronisation, will require new Elastic IP addresses, re-creation of load balancers and security credentials as well as planning of internet traffic redirection and domain names with valid SSL/TLS certificates just as a start.
We have AWS certified consultants who provide the professional expertise required to make your move to the Africa Region as seamless as possible. As part of the AWS Africa Region launch offer, we will discount our consultant rates by 15% if you utilise our consultant services to migrate your workload and sign up with BBD MServ as a managed services and billing partner for the next year.
We will also perform a Well-Architected Review on the migrated workload at our cost.
Workload Migration
There are many reasons why you may want to migrate to the cloud, cost reduction, agility and resilience to name a few. Without prior experience and planning, your migration efforts may fail to meet your outlined business goals. Because BBD MServ has successfully migrated many application workloads to AWS, we have the necessary experience to ensure that the optimal strategy, design and planning of your cloud migration ensues.
As part of the AWS Africa Region launch BBD MServ is offering a 15% discount on consulting services to migrate your workload or business to the cloud. This service includes a Well-Architected Review of the workload at no extra cost, in addition if you sign up with BBD MServ as a managed services and billing partner for a year, the first 3 months will be discounted by 50%.
Continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) Accelerator Template
Moving to the cloud is difficult enough, it requires businesses to change how they think about procurement and provisioning of IT infrastructure, and IT to change how they think about operations and governance. It also often requires a re-education of development teams in terms of tools and tool chains, deployment strategies and operational processes. Software engineers have to now think of infrastructure as code and potentially being temporary, which not only changes how you think about designing systems but also changes the way you think about how they can be designed.
The BBD MServ CI/CD accelerator is a 4-week programme template that will spin up dev, QA and production Virtual Private Clouds in AWS from scratch. Each VPC is effectively a mini data centre in the cloud including VMs, storage and network assets such as subnets, routing, firewalls and load balancers. On top of the VPC infrastructure will be managed container infrastructure using AWS EKS and a CI/CD pipeline that makes use of Jenkins and ArGo.
All of this will be deployed as infrastructure as code, which the BBD MServ consultants will build side-by-side with your DevOps and development teams as part of a knowledge transferring exercise. As part of the Africa Region launch, BBD MServ will offer the CI/CD Accelerator at a 20% discount.
